POLICE ARRESTS THREE SUSPECTS FOR GANG RAPING A TEENAGER
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspects for allegedly gangraping a teenager.
The police arrested the suspects following reports from the rape survivor, an eighteen-year-old girl whose name has been withheld.
The teenager told the police that the trio ambushed her on the road around the Ita Ale area of Ilese Ijebu, forced her into a Lexus ES 350 car, then took turns to rape her at gunpoint.
Following her report, the DPO Ilese division, Yakubu Bala promptly mobilised his detectives and arrested the suspects.
Upon interrogations, the suspects identified as Tunde Sadiq Taiwo 22, Damilola Adesina, 20 and Adegoke Amos, 21 confessed to the crime.
The State Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.
