EFCC Recovers Pistol, Generator, PlayStations, Laptops as 32 Internet Fraud Suspects Arrested in Bauchi

Operatives of the Gombe Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 32 suspected internet fraudsters in Bauchi State and recovered several items, including electronics, a firearm, and vehicles.

The suspects were apprehended on Friday, July 25, during sting operations in the Sabon Kaura and Gwalameji areas of the state capital, following credible intelligence linking them to cybercrime activities.

Recovered items include: 15 iPhones, nine Samsung phones, three Redmi phones, one Infinix phone, two iPads, eight laptops, four Neonx Auto bikes, one Peugeot 406 car, two PlayStation 4 consoles, one PlayStation 5, one Maxi E50KWH generator, and a pistol.


The EFCC stated that the suspects will be charged to court upon the conclusion of ongoing investigations.
