Mother, daughter among four killed as gunmen unleash deadly attack on Kaduna community
A mother and her daughter were among four people reportedly killed after suspected gunmen attacked Katul Crossing Community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to reports, the assailants stormed the community at about 8:00 p.m. on 13 July 2026, and opened fire on residents.
The daughter reportedly died at the scene after sustaining gunshot wounds, while her mother, who was rushed to hospital in critical condition, later succumbed to her injuries.
Two other residents were also reportedly killed during the attack, bringing the death toll to four.
The victims are expected to be buried after their families conclude burial arrangements.
As of the time of filing this report, security authorities had not issued an official statement on the incident, while the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
