HAVING TASTED THE OTHER SIDE, IT FEELS REFRESHING TO BE BACK – UDUAGHAN RETURNS TO PDP

Former Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, on Monday, September 28, 2020, said it feels good to be back to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

He revealed he is back to join forces with other party greats to strengthen the PDP

Uduaghan, who said the PDP is the largest party in Africa, made his return to the party known in a statement on his official Twitter handle, on Monday.

“I am back to join forces with other party greats to strengthen our party, the largest Party in Africa -PDP!

“Having tasted the other side, it feels refreshing to be back home!

“Thank you all for receiving me back. It feels like I never left.

“God bless you!”

Recall that Uduaghan defected from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress (APC) just before the 2015 general elections.

He went on to contest for the Delta South Senatorial District ticket but lost to Senator James Manager.

According to reports, Dr Uduaghan met with former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, last week.

Ibori, regarded by many as the Political leader in Delta State, was said to have had a closed door meeting with Dr Uduaghan and the State’s Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, at Oghara, James Ibori’s country home.

Dr Uduaghan was Governor of Delta on the PDP platform between 2007 and 2015. He was also a Commissioner for Health and later Secretary to the State Government under the administration of former Governor Ibori.

Recently, it has become a norm for Nigerian politicians to dump their parties and embrace the opposition.

On June 19, 2020, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, joined the PDP from the APC.

The Governor left the All Progressives Party on Jun 16 after the APC screening committee disqualified him from participating in the primary election for the forthcoming governorship poll in Edo State.
