2027 Elections: Tinubu Secures APC Presidential Nomination Form as Party Moves Ahead of Polls
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has obtained the All Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The forms were collected on Tuesday, April 28, by James Faleke, who represented the president during the process. Faleke also picked the form for Lagos State’s consensus candidate and incumbent Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat.
The APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, formally presented the documents after confirmation of payment totalling N100 million, covering both the expression of interest and nomination forms.
The development signals the ruling party’s early preparations for the next electoral cycle.
According to the timetable, presidential and National Assembly elections are scheduled for February 20, 2027, while governorship and state assembly polls are expected to hold on March 6, 2027.
