NAF Airstrike Hits Mandara Mountains, Destroys Terrorist Structures and Logistics Hubs
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), under the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI, has intensified its counter-terrorism campaign with a successful air interdiction strike targeting insurgent positions in the Mandara Mountains.
The operation, carried out on April 27, 2026, struck a known terrorist enclave in Guduf following credible intelligence and confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions that identified active structures and logistics hubs supporting insurgent operations.
According to military sources, NAF air assets executed a coordinated strike using precision targeting, engaging and neutralising hostile elements and destroying critical infrastructure linked to terrorist activities.
The operation was conducted in line with established rules of engagement, with emphasis on minimizing risks to civilians and the surrounding environment.
Post-strike assessments indicate that multiple terrorist structures and logistics facilities were destroyed, significantly weakening the operational capacity of insurgents in the area.
The development underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s sustained offensive posture aimed at disrupting terrorist networks, limiting their mobility, and enhancing security across the North-East.
