TWELVE ALLEGED CRIME INSTIGATORS VOLUNTARILY SURRENDER TO KANO POLICE COMMAND

In a notable development, the Kano State Police Command has officially reported the voluntary surrender of twelve (12) drummers from Rijiyar Lemo and Kurna Quarters, who were recognized for instigating thugs ('yandaba) during hunting exercises and related activities across the state. This announcement signifies a noteworthy advancement in the ongoing endeavours of the Police Command to suppress criminal activities and maintain law and order in Kano State.


The recent adoption of a new approach by misguided youth in Dala and its environs has prompted concerns among the public. However, collaborative efforts between the police and the communities have yielded positive outcomes. Twelve individuals, previously identified as instigators in criminal acts, have voluntarily surrendered to the Police Command. They have committed to refraining from inciting conflict and have expressed their dedication to cooperating with the police to uphold peace.


The Police Command expresses gratitude to the people of Kano State for their support and encourages active participation in positive engagements. This collaboration is considered crucial for identifying and encouraging more individuals involved in criminal activities to voluntarily surrender, thereby contributing to a safer and more peaceful environment for all residents.


Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Usaini Gumel, FIPMA, psc, emphasizes the commitment to the security and safety of all residents. He issues a stern warning to individuals still engaged in criminal activities, urging them to seize the opportunity for voluntary surrender. The Police Command assures that necessary support and guidance will be provided for rehabilitation and reintegration into society. The public is reassured that the Police Command will persist in employing all necessary measures to neutralize criminal elements that threaten peace and security in the state.
