Troops Repel Terror Attacks, Neutralise Over 29 Insurgents in Borno, Yobe

Troops engaged in sustained counter-insurgency operations in Nigeria’s North-East have neutralised no fewer than 29 terrorists during coordinated offensives carried out between Saturday and Sunday across parts of Borno and Yobe states.

Military sources disclosed that the operations targeted known insurgent enclaves and also thwarted attempts by terrorists to infiltrate military formations in the affected areas.

The engagements took place in Lamusheri Village, Gujba Local Government Area of Yobe State, as well as at the Limankara Forward Operating Base and Kukawa in Borno State.

The operations, described as decisive, form part of ongoing efforts to intensify pressure on terrorist strongholds, disrupt their logistics networks, and dismantle command structures across the theatre of operations.

Local residents and senior military authorities have commended the troops for their courage, resilience, and sustained offensive posture as security forces continue the push to restore lasting peace and stability in the North-East region.
