Security Operatives Intercept Bullet-Riddled Vehicle Linked to Minna Restaurant Robbery

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Niger State Command, have intercepted a vehicle believed to be connected to the armed robbery incident that occurred at Iya Femi Restaurant in Minna.

The robbery reportedly took place on Friday, 6 March 2026. Acting on credible intelligence and a tip-off from security personnel within the Three Arms Zone in Minna, operatives attached to Operation Flush made the discovery the following day, Saturday, 7 March 2026, at about 8:30 a.m.

According to security sources, the vehicle was found abandoned along the Three Arms Zone Bypass in Minna. Initial observations revealed that the car was riddled with bullet holes, with visible traces of blood believed to belong to the robbery suspects. The development suggests that the attackers may have sustained injuries during the robbery or while attempting to flee the scene.

The vehicle has since been secured while preliminary investigations are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident and identify those responsible.

Authorities confirmed that the case has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force for further investigation in line with inter-agency collaboration and statutory responsibilities. The police are expected to take over the probe with the aim of tracking down and arresting the suspects involved.

Meanwhile, the NSCDC Niger State Command, led by Commandant Suberu Siyaka Aniviye, reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with other security agencies to ensure the safety of lives and property across the state.

The command also urged members of the public to continue providing timely and useful information that can assist security agencies in combating crime and maintaining public safety.
