BREAKING: FG DECLARES MONDAY, TUESDAY PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

The Federal Government has declared Monday and Tuesday, May 25 and 26 as public holidays to mark the 2020 Eid-el-Fitri celebration. 


The Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, through the ministry’s spokesman, Mohammed Manga.


He congratulated the Muslim faithfuls on the occasion and enjoined them to live within the virtues and teachings of the prophet, which he said are love, tolerance, peace and good neighbourliness. 


He added that the Federal Government is investing its time and resources to combat the spread of COVID-19.



Aregbesola expressed the hope that the challenges confronting the nation at the moment would soon be over and called on Nigerians to obey all preventive measures to curb the spread of Coronavirus.
