POLICE APPREHEND WOMAN OVER KILLING A POLICEWOMAN, KIDS IN ANAMBRA STATE

The operatives of Anambra State police command have arrested one Nneamaka Nwosu, a middle-aged woman for setting a policewoman and her two children ablaze in Nnokwa, Idemili south LGA, Anambra State.


The information available indicates that the suspect and the policewoman had a disagreement with each other which resulted in a fight, that made Nwosu hit her head with a pestle.


Consequently, the policewoman became unconscious as she fell, the suspect tied her with a rope alongside her two kids and set them ablaze in their residence.


The suspect who hails from Amawbia, Awka South LGA suffered accommodation issues after being divorced by her husband and was helped by the policewoman who benevolently offered her accommodation in her apartment.


Meanwhile, the suspect tried to escape after the incident but was apprehended by members of the local vigilante group and villagers who saw the victim’s house going up in flames.
