The two boats attached to the vessel attempted to escape upon sighting the naval personnel.</p><p><br></p><p>Upon reaching the scene, a vessel with a storage capacity of about 15,000 metric tonnes was found, loaded with an illicit 500 metric tonnes of crude oil. The 17 crew members involved in the siphoning were promptly arrested.</p>',
