POLICE FOIL ROBBERY OPERATION, RECOVER ARMS
Operatives of the Delta State Police Command on September 11, 2022, at about 0430hrs, responded to a distress call from Hausa Market in Asaba, about some suspicious-looking persons using a tricycle in the area.
The Suspects on sighting the Police abandoned a de-faced tricycle and took to their heels. Upon a thorough search of the tricycle, a fabricated AK 47 rifle, twelve (12) rounds of 9mm live ammunition and twenty-three (23) live cartridges all concealed in a black polythene bag and hidden beneath the rear passenger’s seat were confiscated.
Effort is been intensified in collaboration with local vigilantes to arrest the fleeing suspects.
