PILOTS DISCUSSING CORONAVIRUS CRASH PLANE LEAVING 97 DEAD

A Pakistan International Airline plane crash which killed 97 people last month was because the pilots did not focus, an initial report released on Wednesday said.

Speaking to the parliament, the aviation minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said the pilot and the controller did not follow standard procedures.

While attempting to land the plane, the pilots were engrossed in their conversation which was majorly about Coronavirus, the aviation minister added.

Officials from the French government in collaboration with the Pakistan aviation industry analysed the data and voice recorders.

“The pilot and co-pilot were not focused and throughout the conversation was about coronavirus,” Khan said.

The aviation reiterated that “there was no technical fault and the plane was 100 percent okay to fly.
