NDDC CORRUPTION: FAYOSE URGES PRESIDENT BUHARI TO SACK PONDEI AND AKPABIO

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has asked President Buhari to sack the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the acting Managing Director, Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei.


Fayose made this known on Friday, July 24th, in a tweet via his official Twitter handle.


He urged the President not to continue treating looting of public treasury as a family affair.

Fayose tweeted; "With this level of fraud exposed in NDDC, Buhari must sack Akpabio now. The President can't continue to treat the looting of public treasury as a family affair and his fight against corruption as an instrument if persecution against opposition figures."


In the last few days, the National Assembly has also called on the President to dissolve the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the NDDC and return the commission to the Presidency for proper accountability and direct supervision


The President has however not made any decision concerning the dissolution of the IMC and the termination of the appointments of the Minister and the MD.
