LOOTERS SHOOT DPO IN BENUE
Suspected looters, on Tuesday, December 1, shot a Divisional Police Officer of Otukpo in Benue State.
The victim, Yahaya Pawa, was shot when he led a team of policemen to Otukpo-Icho to arrest suspected looters in the early hours of Tuesday.
The State’s Police PRO, Catherine Anene, who confirmed the incident, said the looters were selling goods looted during a recent fire outbreak in Otukpo community.
Anene said the DPO who was shot in the arm is presently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Otukpo.
