GUNMEN ATTACK CONVOY OF THE CANDIDATE FOR OTUKPO HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES IN BENUE STATE, KIDNAP AIDE

Unidentified gunmen suspected to be kidnappers attacked the convoy of the House of Assembly candidate for Otukpo/Akpa state constituency in the 2023 elections, Hon. Owoicho George Adama abducted one of his aides.

The information available indicates that the incident occurred when the victims were returning from a political party meeting and some gunmen came out of nowhere and started shooting sporadically on Wednesday 2 November 2022 at about 1800hrs.

The gunmen thought Hon. Owoicho was inside his SUV but was rather in the small vehicle behind his car. They headed straight to his car and couldn’t find him despite spotting him earlier, so they forcefully dragged his aide, simply identified as Agaba, who was driving the SUV into the nearby bushes and went away with him.
