Following the incessant killings of students in Ogun State by custom officers, The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and National Association of Ogun State Students (NAOSS) have demanded of the Nigeria Customs Service to remove theComptroller of Ogun state command, Michael Agbara.

This is contained in a statement jointly signed by NANS's Vice president, Comrade Ojo Raymond and NAOSS President, Comrade Gbemileke Ogunronmbi on Monday, May 11.

The Associations asked the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Hameed Ali to remove the Ogun State controller or face the wrath of the entire students of the country.

It was reported that some students were killed by NCS operatives, one of the victims was a 15 years old Rilwan Bello, a student of Community High School, Owode, who was hit by a stray bullet from NCS operatives, on May 1, at Owode, Idiroko.

The students' body vow to violate the lockdown order if the Comptroller is not removed, adding that it will mobilize students across Nigeria to protest.

The grieving students said they are not asking the officers of NCS not to do their job, but they will not tolerate killings of innocent people in the name of fighting smugglers.

The Students' bodies lamented as Senator Tolu Odebiyi, the Senator representing Ogun West kept silent on the development.

However, the NSC Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, said he was not aware of the plea and demand of the students.
