POLICE ARRESTS 19 SUSPECTED CULTISTS IN ALAKUKO AREA OF LAGOS STATE

The Lagos State Police command has arrested 19 suspected cultists in the Alakuko area of Lagos State.


Recall that the Lagos State Police Commissioner, CP Hakeem Odumosu, vowed that the Command was not going to tolerate any act of hooliganism and lawlessness in the State.


The police also recovered several Items from the suspects such as dangerous weapons, assorted charms, and weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.


CP Odumosu stated that intelligence reports indicate that the hoodlums came from Ota, Ogun State, to unleash mayhem on residents in Alakuko and its environs.



He said that the arrested suspects would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, for discreet Investigation, and noted that the command has deployed additional security operatives to restore normalcy to the affected areas.


Speaking on Monday February 8, while addressing and deliberating on security issues with Area and Police mobile force Commanders in the State, the Police boss admonished motorcycle operators, commercial drivers and Lagosians to be law-abiding and desist from attacking security personnel in the State.



CP Odumosu called on community and Traditional leaders in Lagos State to support security operatives in combating the crisis and getting rid of hoodlums.
