1 POLICEMAN KILLED AS GUNMEN KIDNAP 4 PERSONS IN ABUJA

A policeman lost his life while trying to rescue some persons kidnapped by gunmen in Abuja on Tuesday. 


Eons Intelligence gathered that the fallen officer, Inspector Ambi John was one of the members of the team of operation puff adder deployed to rescue citizens attacked by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers along the Dansuka, Angwan-Zegele-Zuba axis. 


Inspector John sustained fatal gunshot injuries during a fierce battle with the gunmen, and lost his life in a hospital while the assailants escaped into the forest bordering the FCT and Niger State alongside 4 kidnapped victims. 


The police command however, has launched a strategic operation to rescue the four abducted persons.

ASP Yusuf Mariam, the PRO of the FCT police command revealed that operatives of the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad have made some arrests in connection with the incident. 


To curb the rise in insecurity in the nation’s capital Bala Ciroma, the Commissioner of Police has urged residents to report all suspicious activities to these numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, and 08028940883. 


While citizens with complaints should report the conduct of Police Officers to the Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) number :09022222352.
