SEVEN PASSENGERS KILLED IN OSUN ROAD CRASH

Seven passengers have been confirmed dead following an accident on an 18-seater bus in Osun State.


The accident occurred around 3.45am on Wednesday morning after the bus rammed into a billboard along the Ilesha/Osu expressway.

 

It was gathered that the vehicle, which was commuting from Zamfara State, caught fire, with all passengers killed in the inferno.


The Field Commandant of Osun Security Network, ‘Amotekun’, Comrade Amitolu Shittu, confirmed the accident.


“We were on patrol around 3:45 am at Ilesha when the accident occurred.

 

“The vehicle was on top speed when it ran into a billboard. The vehicle was carrying two motorcycles and passengers.


“Some passengers were burnt beyond recognition. The FRSC and Fire Service joined us.”
